Great Challenge Lori!!

I will do my best to get in front of the camera. Maybe I can teach hubby how to use the camera. LOL He's not very good at picking it up and just shooting. LOL

Although since becoming a digi scrapper I've tried to get infront of it more but guess whos taking the picture. hehehehe

Lori

I'm a little slow today. hehehehe So figured I didn't need to put the definition to of KWIM. So editing it out.

Andy - if you're using PS 7, CS or CS2 there is a wonderful 'heal' tool near the top left of the toolbox it's just above the clone tool (which works well too) that is wonderful for blemishes, ketchup on faces, boogers in noses, etc. My boys' pictures know that tool ALL too well. Set it on a soft brush and go to town. As opposed to the clone tool which simply copies a small portion of the picture and pastes it into the new spot, the heal tool tries to match textures and the surrounding colors. It works good, just takes a little practice. Use it in click click click fashion, not a click/drag fashion. Do one small change at a time so you can undo if one of the clicks doesn't look right.

The healing brush tool in PSCS is awesome. Gets rid of pimples, runny kid noses, scraped up kids faces, etc.

I am still looking for the "Lipo" tool though. :-)

I do like to set up family pictures. We use the automatic timer feature on the camera, and dh gave me a tripod for my birthday last year. Everyone gets aggravated at me when I make them do the "family pics" but I don't care - Mama gets her way on this one. I have too many family pictures that my grandfather is not in because he was always the one taking the pictures.

Put yourself into your layouts!!!

Yes, you really must all make sure you include yourselves in lots of layouts. My father died when I was 18 and I had a very close relationship with him, but having just taken up scrapbooking and started going through my family photos, I've found to my horror that I've only got two photos with Dad in, simply because he was usually the one who took all the photos in our family. So remember, you might not like looking at pictures of yourself, but your family will want to in years to come.

Hey guys, I got my first layout with me in the picture posted! You can see it here:

http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/galle...ser=40359&sl=m

I had some computer problems last night so I was rushing around trying to get it done - didn't make it very fancy - just the basics. But darn it, I'm in it!!

TFL!

Melanie

Great job Melanie! Let's see some other SBB'ers too! Here's a recent one of mine with my brother and sister.
