probably a silly question but I see the word "sketch" and also "crop" a lot on here. What's the difference and what do they mean?

hey Laura!

a sketch is like a blueprint for a layout, you can use them as a base to build your layout on, sketches help you to organise photos, elements, title, journalling into a pleasing page, as someone else has done the design for you

a crop is a scrapbooking session - online crops are usually held in chat rooms, the host will usually give you a task to complete and a deadline to post your layout to the gallery for everyone to see, sometimes there are freebies for attending or completing the task, and most are scheduled to run about an hour
