For those who print at costco

I read elsewhere that someone took their saved 12x12's into costco and they couldn't print them cause they were too big.

Has anyone come across this problem? I'm saving up pictures to print at costco so I can do it all in one shot but now I'm worried my pictures will be to big.

In psp I save them 12 x 12, at 1 compression because someone told them to. Here is a screen shot:

Is that ok or should I increase the compression!!

If you go to Costco.com, you can go to the Photo Shop and see what their standards are, they have them listed - the amount of pixels needed for each size picture you might be wanting.

HTH.

I took a look at my files and they were all between 16-18mb files for 12x18 prints and have not had any problems.

I usually send my files late at night. Once I received an auto e-mail that they were having technical difficulties with my submission but when I contacted them in morning, they told me that it was because the printer ran out of paper.

Another thing I've found out about Costco - they have 12x18 printing, so be sure to lay out your 12x12 and then create two 6x6 duplicates of the page to get 3 shots for the price of one! Just lay them all together on the image you send to Costco. That gets you one for your album and 2 for gift albums for no extra charge!

You can also do 3 4x6 prints at the bottom of the 12 x 18
Sometimes I put elements on the bottom to print- then cut them out put them over the corresponding spot on the layout with a little folded piece of paper underneath for some
dimension.

These are great ideas, do you have to do it online or can you do it at your local costo.
