Digital "rub-on" for CK HOF assignment D

Here is CK's response to my question about the rub on image in Assignment D:

Dear Heidi,

Thanks for getting in touch with us. You just need to make sure that whatever you create for the "rub-on image", it has to be obvious to anyone that looks at it that it's supposed to be a rub-on. Hope that helps.

Sincerely,

CK Editorial

Of course now I will be super paranoid about making sure it "looks" like a rub on LOL.

Here's what I'm thinking... I'll probably use a brush and then distress it a tad bit.

Does anybody have a link to a layout that has this technique on it?

really, a rub on when you look at a scrapbook magazine looks no different from word art or something. for example: in this layout- http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/galle...0&ppuser=19778 the letters could be a rub-on. I would say that you could use a word art for it. I wouldn't distress it too much to make it looked stamped on cause that is different. but look thru a scrap mag and you'll see, it doesn't really have a special look unless someone distresses it on their own.

Very true. I was thinking that if it overlaps several layers you might want to make the edges of the layers show a tad bit. I may have to buy a rub on just to see how it looks. I think the word art is a great example. Thanks!
