The only suggestion I can make is to reduce the size of your layout to 7.5" x 7.5" and place a generic border paper behind it. I created mine from scratch, so it wasn't really an issue.

To fix the border, just add about 1/8 of an inch around the edge in a matching color or background so you have room when they cut it off. You may want to add more for the cover because it is full bleed, and has to wrap around the spine, but the system shows what you'll see.

Kim,
I'm assuming when you say 26 pages, you mean 26 layouts? (i.e., 13 pieces of paper printed on both sides). Or was it 26 pieces of paper, and 52 layouts?
Do you know how much they charge per layout beyond 26? (I don't want to pay their $20 registration fee unless I know I really want to use them).

Thanks,

Holly

Hi Holly. If you go look at my book, you will see that it is 26 pages total - I have 13 photo pages and 13 text pages. Then there is also a front cover, back cover, and first page inset that you also get to design. I believe the fee for additional pages is cheap - like around $3?? And I think if you contact Stacey at 3Scrapateers, you can get the set-up fee waived. Their site is a resaler, so to speak.

HI guys...I have tried 'em all...and here is my take....

I just got my Heritage Makers book in last week....and over all it is OK....nothing great..I do like the full bleed cover...but am concerned about their binding process...the pages of my book do not even bum up against the binding and looks like it will fall apart pretty easily...print quality did nto thrill me either....

LOVE Shared Ink---great product and service.....great price.....and I believe they are adding more staff so there turn around times will get better....

I have great success with Fastback Books---if you are skilled in PS and understand how to set-up the book to THEIR specs--this is a great site....

and of course Bound2Remember.....I do like their product....I do think that theirs is the best quality.....the cost is not that out of reach..I think it works out to like $60 for an 8x8...

Please keep in mind you PAY for quality...we work hard on our pages and the purpose is to have them for our families and future families....if you decide to go the "cheap" route you may not have these books in the future....

I cannot tell you how many people have come into my store-seen the books we have here as samples-and told me how "so & so" got a book through Mypublisher or Ofoto only to have it fall apart at the binding....or the colors are off......

Everybody has their horror stories of different vendors-but do not sacrifice quality for price!!!!!

:-)
