Making a vacation album

I just got back from a cruise and I wanted to get all the pictures scrapped. I wanted to use one or two kits with the same general colors and do some sort of templates or something. I want to be able to have about 4 or 5 templates ready to go and then go through and insert pictures. Any ideas about the easiest way to do this? I am using DIP9. I'm pretty new at the program so it takes forever for me to do one page- that's why I thought templates might be a faster way to get all the pictures done quick.

Below are links to three threads that sort of deal with this topic. The first is a thread where I asked for advice on how to scrap a lot of Zoo pics, and templates were mentioned:

The next two talk about scrapping vacation pics:

How do you scrap your vacation pics

and

How have you done travel scrapbooks?

Finally, you might want to consider purchasing digitalscrapbookingdotcom's summer edition of their digimagazine. That issue deals with making quick and easy travel LOs and comes with a kit of 16 coordinated travel themed quickpage LOs. Here are links to a two page LO I made with the kit: Page 1: http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/galle...8253&cat=10660 and Page 2: http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/galle...8252&cat=10660

My final suggestion is to consider Doris Castle's Just Beachy 10 LO Quickpage Collection over at scrapbook-elementsdotcom. The colors might be perfect for a cruise.

HTH!

I am making a home building album and I have used two things to speed things up a little -

1-RESCRAP (like in regift) - I use DIP 10 so I have just pulled out some of my other LO I've liked and I just reuse them with "fill with picture or color" and just refill all the photos and elements with new ones, add new text and tah dah - brand new pages at a fraction of the time LOL!
2-Scrap Maps site - just checked them out, you can pick a layout based on the number of pictures you have to scrap. I found out about it from member "shupe" whose pages I like and she uses them all the time and I always like her layouts!
