and a friend told me that would open up a whole lot more freebie downloads, etc. somewhere. Anybody want to tell this very lost scrapping newbie where things are hiding?

Sometimes it takes a day or so for them to activate you as a subscriber. You should be able to see a lot more stuff in the elements section of the downloads section of the website. Specifically you should see a section called New element DTM exclusives if it has been activated. Also the other subsections should have a link at the top that says Subscribers Area if your subscribership has been activated. Once it has been you will be very impressed. Happy scrapping!

Thank you for the tutorial link and the responses. I was confused a bit because there's a discreptancy between what it says when you purchase membership in the store (Store says membership will be activated in approx. 12 hours) and what you read in the subscriber tutorial (tutorial says 2-5 working days). Though I'm a bit disappointed that it's not the 12 hours I originally expected, I won't panic till next week.

I joined up about 4 weeks ago now and as I did it late at night Aussie time, I went to bed and then woke up to a magical new world of FABULOUS downloads! It shouldn't take long for your membership to be processed and it is very very good value for money.
I am thrilled to bits!

I signed up on last Thursday the 6th and I am still waiting for the opportunity to see all the scrapbooking elements. I guess I still have a day or so to go.

I'm surprised it has taken this long, ssculley. Are you sure you don't have access to the member's area yet? Have you tried signing off then signing back in again?

I did try to sign off and then back on but still no luck.
