Paper Question for some of the more Seasoned Digi Scrappers.

Hello,

I do not do as much Scrapping as my wife of course, I mostly do the photography for her...But I am heavily into Graphics (only about 14years worth.) My question is this...What kind of paper do most of you use for your Digital scrapbooking?

I have been into photo printing for at least 8 years. It seems to me that the best photo paper you can find would be what you would want to use if you want your layouts to get those coveted ooohs and ahhhs. It seems that resolution and clarity would only be it's best if you go with a high quality photo paper. After all how can you expect your photo's to look like photo's if they are not on photo paper?

I use (the best photo paper I have ever found) JetPrintPhoto Brilliant Satin Photo Paper. Which is only sold online or at Walmart right now. It is a 4 layer Photo paper with a matte finish. I does cost but the results are excellent.

I would really like to know what all of you are using. We are both new to this. Thank you so much for any insite you can send our way.

I use epson paper either photo matte or high gloss photo,I think you get the best results when you use the the papers made for your printer ,I have tried the jet print with my printer and they did not turn out as nice (mostly because they would not dry) .So I stick with the paper that works best for me.My sister does use the jet print and she loves it,the satin prints nice and you get alot for your money.

I print mine at Office Max on their laser color printers. I like the 32# bright white matte paper.

Espson Paper

I use Epson PremierArt Matte Scrapbbok Photo Paper, 12x12. It is designed for digital scrapbook pages and has a print life of up to 200 years when used with Epson ink. I stick with all Epson products. I print the layouts on an Epson 1280 and they turn out great! The only problem is the cost of the paper, usually $20.00 for 10 sheets. You are able to print back/front so can get two layouts on one sheet. I have done this before and it prints great though I usually stick with one layout per sheet. I have been able to find it lately online for cheaper. CompUSA has it now for $12.00!

I have an HP printer so I stick with HP paper. I have tried other brands but do not get consistent results. I prefer gloss so I go for the HP Premium Gloss for a high quality print but for an everyday print I use the Everyday gloss.
This site http://www.wilhelm-research.com/ is the source for information on paper and printing and worth a look. You can find out how long you can expect your prints to last in diferent conditions for eg.

Thank you all for all of your replies. It seems that all of you also look to use whatever works best with your printer and looks best for the most part.

Again thanks for the time all of you spent passing on your own experieces and preferred papers.
