Question Which PC program would you recommend...

I have a friend who so liked an album that I gave her as a present that she now wants to get into digiscrapping. She is a busy ER doc so she needs things to be intuitive, quick and easy. She is also primarily a Mac person, but just purchased a laptop PC and she would prefer to do her scrapping on it, since it is her husband who uses the Mac for his graphics business. I am a Mac person so I have no idea what program to recommend to her and I would like your advice given my description of her. They have Photoshop on the Mac, so I doubt they would be willing to pay for another version of it.

Thanks in advance.

I think PSP would be superb for a beginner...I am completely self taught, and it is a very user-friendly program. If she is familiar with Photoshop it should be a breeze. I don't think it is that expensive either.

I use PhotoImpact and found it very easy to learn. I have also played a little with PSP, not quite as easy for me, but I do love the text options. There are trial trial downloads of each of these programs at ulead.com and jasc.com. And if she is already familiar with Photoshop, she can find PSElements 2 for cheap at amazon.com.

PSP was the easiest for me to learn. I used a lot of online tutorials to teach my self.

PSE is easy to learn and if the already have Photoshop it would be a familar environment. It costs just under 100 bucks.

I second the recommendation for PSE. I started with Elements, and after I got acoustomed to it knew I was going to stick with digi scrapping I decided to go to full blown Photoshop.
