Which one is better for a semi-beginner

I'm quite familiar with Microsoft picture it 7.0
but I'm looking to upgrade to something else. I was looking at Microsoft digital image pro 10.0
and Microsoft digital image suite 10 and Microsoft picture it Premium 10.0

Which one should I get?????

Go for Digital Image Pro. You can use plugins with it.
DIP 10 Suite has the Library for sorting your photos/elements.
DIP10 Pro is exactly the same but without the Library.

If you go for the latest edition 2006, don't get the Pro version. It doesn't have plugin capability and other tools are missing. If you want the latest edition get DIP 2006 SUITE. Otherwise either DIP10 Pro or DIP10 Suite depending on whether you want the library or not.

I second that. Get the DIP10 Suite.

Well.. I would say you should look into either Paint Shop Pro 9 (or if you can find 8 cheaply.. that is perfect!) or Adobe elements 3. Both are considered "pro" level products with full rich feature sets but setup in a way perfect for beginners.

I always suggest new users start with a product they can grow with down the road... that way, once you master the basics, you will be able to use the same product family to advance to the next level. With Elements.. you easily move to photoshop (the defacto standard)..

Anyway... Good Luck!
