6x6 frames at Target $ area

Thought this might be handy - at Target today in the dollar area they had 6x6 wooden frames. They are a brown wood - not too cheap looking. I bought 4 and I plan to print some of my layouts at 6x6 and make a small wall arrangement.

Thanks for the tip! I plan to go to Target tomorrow and hope they have some in my store. I've looked and looked for square frames!! At $1--what a deal!

if they look too cheap you could always alter them with paint or something fun

Oh that's a good idea - I think I have some antique-look gold and black spray paint left over from another project that would look great on them.

I bought bunches of the 4x10 ones to scrap kids' names - makes a great Christmas gift. For my girls I just spray painted them white. Watch out, Pottery Barn!

I did exactly what ScrappinSweetie said... I bought these frames your talking about at Target, and I painted them with the 50-75 cent paints and they look fabulous. I did a wonderful little grouping with 4 of them in my BR for under $5 with taxes and paint. I was so impressed that they were only a $1 each, but I did notice the color inconsistency in the staining, and that's why I opted to paint them.

You know who else has inexpensive wooden frames? Ikea.
They have these cool mirrors (about $3) - 9"x9" total. The mirror itself is 3x3 and there is a 3" frame around it. I scrapped a 9x9 page, but left a 3" square hole in the middle. I printed it on a 11x17 color printer at work and covered it with cyrstal clear contact paper to make it shiny and to protect it. Then I cut it out and glued it to the frame. It looked cool! Too bad I gave it away as a present and forgot to take a photo!!!

We live in Australia (no pottery barn *sigh*) but Ikea.. is a must for frames.. i have been buying up big time... 20 x 30 inches (rough conversion) is under $10... and down they go to about $2.... LOVE IT.. they are raw timber and paint beautiful with craft paint and foam brushes (no lines from bristles).... they even have small square ones in white.

Now - i just need access to pottery barn!
