Ok, so I am working on an alpha set for a kit that I am trying to make and I want to use this font, A Yummy Apology. I have had the font for a while, so when I looked to find the user license, I did not find one. I went to dafont.com and that is apparently where the font was that I got it from. I tried to download from there, but for some reason it didn't work. So I went to the home website for the font. It downloaded fine, as a zip. When I unzipped, no license agreement attached. So, I looked all over the website for a license agreement, anything mentioning use of the font for commercial purposes, and nothing. So, I try emailing the creator with the email that is listed as most recent and of course, it bounced back to me, the inbox is full. Anyways, I don't want to do anything illegal or use the font improperly, but I really like how it looks in the alpha I am making and I relly don't think I could find another one to replace it.
This also brings me to another question, I have fonts that I have bought from myfonts.com and I'm not sure if the user license that you just buy regulary would cover using the font in an alpha set if you planned to sell it. Anyone with any advice? Am I asking this in the right place? I am just a little frustrated because I was so excited to find a font that worked with the kit and now I might have to find another one, I'm bummed. Help please!
