From Houston, TX- need DIP help

Anyone out there from Houston, TX that might be willing to do a hands on training with me for DIP? I'm ready to scream. I understand that this is supposed to be an easy program, but when it's new to you- it's not that easy. I'm not a good book learner- need hands on visual- show me how to do it- training. I'm still trying to figure out how to get backgrounds to work right. Maybe we can get a group of people together and do something once a month or something to learn techniques and swap ideas on DIP. Any takers???

Sherry, don't scream. DIP really IS easy because it works of the same principles as other Microsoft software. If you know Microsoft Word, for instance, you should not have any problems finding your way around DIP pretty quickly. To start, go to the Tutorials section on this web site. There are a ton of tutorials, many are step-by-step with visuals. I suggest start with this one:

Under Help in your DIP program you can also find video tutorials. Try some of those. They are pretty good.

Hope that gets you started.

Jana,
Thanks for the suggestion- however, I have actually tried the tutorials and printed every one of them. Even the new one (which was my idea)- Basic LO with a KIT- still can't get it. I know I just uninterrupted time (without the kids) to sit and play with it. Just hoping for some locals that may know how to use it and can show me.
