Hey Everybody!

I see people that have the design team member blinkies all about and I was wondering, what does that mean (I get the gist, but not really ) and also, how do you get on a design team? Thanks!!

Design Team members (also known as creative team members at some sites) have different responsibilities at different sites. Here at SBB, the Design Team members host crops, write for the Tid-Bytes ezine, make kits and elements to give away, write tutorials, answer questions in the forums, post comments. A little bit of everything.

Elsewhere, being a design team member (or creative team member)means making layouts using elements or kits sold by that site or by a specific kit designer.

Sites or kit designers who are looking for design team members sometimes advertise the fact at Promos4digiscrappers, a Yahoo group. In general, they ask for samples of your work and then select a team member or members from those submissions. While being a design team member carries responsibilities, it also may mean that you can get kits (and maybe even other benefits) at no charge.
