In several kits I have, I have items named "envie" which is obviously a technical term for a certain kind of element. Believe it or not, I can't really figure out what makes something an "envie". Does anyone have a definition for me?

I believe that it means "envelope". Please correct me if I am wrong. It's hard to keep up with the slang that I find in forums.

Heehee, I just have to stop in and giggle that Nevermore queen of the poetic was at a loss with envie. Way to own up to it my friend.

Well as an Australian I knew it was an envelope immediately. It is typical with Aussie slang to shorten a word by adding ie to the first syllable.

But please, don't call me Jacquie...

Wow! I have never been the Queen of Anything! Liking it. (I am the Laundry Goddess but really prefer to be Queen of the Poetic!) I am getting it now. I think what may have thrown me was the fact that often "envies" pack in separate pieces so I wasn't getting the "entire" picture. Rather disappointed, actually, as I thought it was going to be some quaint Victorian item like a calling card...
