Arrow Burning Elements or Layouts to a DVD

Ok, I went to buy CDRs to archive my elements - and now they won't burn to the disk. Am I doing something wrong, or are you not able to burn photos to DVD?

I was trying to put them in folders and then move the folders to the DVD like i do with my CDRs

any assistance one can help me with would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Kim

Smile BURNING PHOTOS

I have burned many cds with my photos on them, i always save to a certain folder then use my cd burning software to make a data disc then take the photos from the folder and add ot the burn list and then burn. i have been doing this for a few years and havent ever had problems. you can email me and maybe i can help you if you run into problems.

I have no problems when i do CDRs - I have been doing that for years also. I was told at office max that I can burn photos to DVD -(just thaught of something - do they have to be jpg only to work?) so i thaught I would save a disk or two and burn all my elements to 2-3 DVDs vs about 10-15 CDRs. Since I have about 7 gigs of elements to archive - wanted to save about a million steps...lol

You can burn photo sto DVD's in any format but you need to use softwar ethat allows you to burn to DVD's - Windows XP only allows you to burn to CD not DVD. What burning program are you using?

thank you - I found out my computer already has software on it - so that eliminates the need to buy new software - at least right now.

I am going to try and figure out a few more things before i actually burn a disk. thanks for the help and the link to the tutorial - it was very informative!
