I'm so glad you asked this, because I was wondering about it, too. How do you even make them in the first place, too?

Hi guys! You can find out all sorts of cool stuff here:

Site Basic Tutorials

And...I thought for sure they'd have something there to tell you how to do this, but I couldn't find it. SO! LOL. To add a blinkie to your signature you have to have a separate online host for your blinkie to be stored on. (Photobucket.com works nicely and it's free or cheap.) Then you would just post a link to where your blinkie is in the User CP under Signature. Posting your link is different than html link codes. You will need to use the following code and change the address accordingly:

Code:
[img]http://www.the link to your image.com[/ img]
(And take the space out from inbetween the slash and the img phrase.)

If you need more specific instructions, post back and I'll see if I can help.

As far as making blinkies, you need a program that can make animations. Some that come to mind are photoshop elements, animation shop. Any graphics program will allow you to make a simple button, too. Just the usual size is 88x31 at 72 ppi, although you will see some variation in the scrap community with blinkie and button sizes and really there's no reason to make it one size over the other. Have fun!

FYI - DIP 10 also has an animation feature. I don't know about previous versions. This is great info because I made a couple of blinkies this week and I couldn't figure out how to add them. Thanks.
