Making Papers

Hi ladies
Ive had a look for a tutorial on making papers but im still finding my way arounf this website so maybe I missed it
I use psp9 and can make textures papers, like crumpled and things but I would like to know how they make the ones that look worn like the one below from ©Rikki's My favourite vacation kit.
Also, does anyone know a good site for free filters for PSP9? Ones that may be good for making papers.
Thank you fo reading my post.

Kellie

that looks like brushes were used. Some free PSP grunge brushes would be good. use white for scratching, dark for ink/dirt

I agree with Emma. Brushes were probably used to create the sanded look to this paper. Some of my favorite brushes for PSP (before I started making my own) come from Classic.Tere-Art (do a search).

brushes

Another good grunge set is at Simply Brush. I just found another site called Brushes by Pange which HAS TONS of PSP only brushes that you can download individually or as sets.

I have found that some to most Photoshop brush places allow you to down load image paks which you can turn into PSP brushes. But you have to make sure it says image pak. One of my favorite brush sites that I can't use though is Vbrush ( ) I wish he would make them PSP compatible.

As for filters I would HIGHLY recommend Eye Candy 3.1 if you can find it for free. Superblade Pro is another one I use alot. I have Gregs Factory Output, Paint Engine (just got), Virtual Photographer (another HIGHLY recommended).

There are tons more just do a search here or google. I know there is a thread here somewhere that lists more. The really good ones though cost money such as Eye Candy 4000 (not sure how different from 3.1)
HTH,
Tina

Thanks for the advice guys. I downloaded quite a few brushes but most of them wont register for some reason. Some did but some didnt. strange. Ill have to play around with the ones I have to try and get that effect.
I do have eye candy 3 and 4...4 just has a few extra filters I think. So ill try using them more as well. Ive tried to make a kit a couple of times but im never happy with the result lol.
I will go now and Do a search Kathryn for that site, Thank you for that.
