A lot of these avatars are custom-made for the designers, but here at the SBB store you can buy Chicklets made my Dawn Stocstill (hunibuni) to make your own avatar. The kits have parts that you put together on a square canvas in your photo editing software just like a layout. You can start at whatever size you want, say 8" x 8", so you can work on all the little details. You can use whatever background and lettering you want. Then, to upload here, you need to resize it to 125 pixels x 125 pixels, as you probably already know since you have a cute little photo for an avatar already. She sells a variety of ethnic versions of the Chicklets so you should be able to find one that works for you! Have fun!

The avatar like mine and I think Michelle's and Kristie's are all by Clara Wallace at MatterofScrap. I think they are $25 each, but sometimes you can snag a coupon...

I'm glad you asked this! I have been thinkin' I'd like to change my avatar too and it would be fun to have one like these! They're so fresh and cute! I'm thinking that I may have to get one made for me... don't know how cute and fresh it'll look though! haha

Thanks for asking... now I can look into it too!

If you are looking for something free there is a site where you can make your own dolls with lots of parts. You have to put it together yourself but you can make it as simple or as complex as you want. I have the link on the bottom of my signature, (wasn't sure how to credit for this so I just included the link)

My name finally came up on the waiting list for Clara at Matter of Scrap. I just need
to fill out a questionnaire so she gets an idea of my personality and send a pic
so she can make mine and then I'll have one! Then everyone can expect posts
from me about how in the world to get the avatar ON my posts! lol
