Hi there,

I bought a tablet (Intuos 3) with some birthday money. I am doing fine so far--but still learning! I was wondering what those of you who have one use it for or how you use it. Do you use the mouse and the pen, or pen only? Do you use the pen for everything, or only drawing? Why do you like your tablet?

I have read a lot about them, but have never seen anyone use it, so I am just trying to gather information!

I use it some in my kit making. I do not like the mouse that came with it. It's getting dusty in a drawer lol. I don't use the pen like a mouse unless I am in the middle of drawing and need to do something. It gets more and more easy. HTH.

I have a small wacom tablet with pen and mouse. I love the cordless mouse, especially the fact that it doesn't use batteries like some do. I use the mouse for regular computer work like web surfing, organizing files, blah blah blah. I use the pen for making most of my elements, swapping back and forth between pen and mouse as needed. I just can't make the swap to using the pen totally. At one time I had, but now having the cordless mouse is better and the pen mouse is great for detailed work like on masks, erasing, and painting. -Ali

I use my pen when I am scrapping and my mouse for the web,I like the mouse becasue it has the extra buttons for clicking 'back" .

I love my tablet, although it is HUGE....there is no great place for me to store it...LOL...I bought it 5 years ago and STILL am using it like crazy!!! I have never used the mouse on it....I hate that thing! I use my pen to draw in photoshop mainly. Now you can have hand-written journaling on your pages...isn't that so awesome! And SO EASY!!! It makes my life so easy...LOL Just keep practicing, it can be very awkward at first....but you WILL get comfortable with it eventually.

I got my Graphire 3 tablet about 2 weeks ago and I really like it. I am still in the process of playing with it. I am mainly erasing the background in photos using Photoshop Elements 3. It is so much easier and gives you quite a bit more control than a mouse.

I havent gotten used to mine, right now it is a nice paper holder
