I use mine for everything, and would never use Photoshop without it! I do keep a high resolution cordless optical mouse nearby and do use it every now and then.

FYI, Kim, you can get programs like the Mouse Keyboard Wizard that will let you type with the mouse - so I bet it could be used with a pen and tablet too. So, you could even type with it if you were so inclined. Not practical, but possible.

I had to give up using my tablet all the time because my wrist was killing me. I was really bummed cuz I loved using it and hardly touched a mouse for about 6 months. It was brilliant as a programmer cuz I could hold the pen and type at the same time! Anyway, I only use it now when I sit down specifically to scrap... But I always use it for all my scrapping, I just find I get so much better control specially for things like extractions...

You need to install the software that came with the tablet. Then plug it in. It should give you a notice that new hardware was installed and you can follow the prompts. You may have to reboot for it to take effect.

I just can't make the swap to using the pen totally. At one time I had, but now having the cordless mouse is better and the pen mouse is great for detailed work like on masks, erasing, and painting. -Ali
Ditto - this is exactly how I use mine
