I do the same thing. I think i just get familiar doing something one way and i have a real hard time changing my ways. I need to just bite the bullet and FORCE myself to use it.
I say this today yet, i know in the back of my mind.. when it comes crunch time i will be grabbing that dandy cordless mouse out of frustration! LOL

I use mine every day and although I really don't love the mouse, I have never gotten around to getting a new one so I use my tablet's mouse exclusively (don't recommend it, I'm just a little lazy). I use the pen tool for brushes or when I'm cutting out something with a lot of detail.

I've been using a Wacom tablet for 10 years now (almost exactly 10!) I use mine for everything. I have an "up-down-right-left" mental problem with using a mouse or track ball, that disappears completely when using a pen. With a mouse, I often can't figure out where my cursor is. With a pen, I know exactly where it is. So, I use my pen for everything.

The reason I got one in the first place was to use with Painter. I had to switch from "real" art products because they were making me sick, to "graphic" art ... and Painter was what was the best at the time. I "draw" and "paint" with my pen.

I got so used to the pen, that I use it as a mouse. With my newest tablet, I am finding that I use the mouse a little bit, but I had to turn off the side buttons because I kept pressing them by accident.

At this point, I don't know if I could use a mouse all the time ... but I don't plan on trying.

I use mine for everything except typing words - LOL. It has been a real life saver for my aching wrist. I don't use the mouse at all, just the pen. It is the best investment I ever made!!

I don't use mine nearly enough - I'm still in that learning stage and tend to go back to my mouse because that's what I'm used to

I picked mine up and have never touched a mouse again when on my computer! I love it for photoshop, especially doing extractions and working on repairing photos. I think it is alot less stressful on my joints which is great for me since I have arthritis.
I could not live without mine I have had it about 2 years. Wacom intous.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my question. I have really enjoyed the pen for the little bit of scrapping I have done this week. It seems as though I have more control with movement. Just as a learning tool I have used the pen as a mouse--and am getting more comfortable all the time. I am wondering if it would be better on my wrist (as some have suggested to use it all the time. I am definitely still faster with my old mouse!

Thanks for responding to my question!
