I am trying to take all the color out of a photo in photoshop then have just the eyes come out in pastel blue. How do I do that?

It's actually pretty quick and easy if you're familiar with PS.
Just make another layer, convert the second layer to Grayscale or B&W, then erase the eyes. The color from the layer underneath will show through.

Here is a much easier way. I was doing the "erasing" too, before someone told me this:


Select Magnectic Lasso: use this tool to go around object, such as eyes. You will see when you use it; it ‘attaches’ itself to the area you are cropping.



At the top under IMAGE and LAYER there are 4 different boxes. Choose the one that has 2 boxes, which is ‘add to selection’



After you lassoed what you want, at the top click on SELECT/INVERSE (or cntrl + SHIFT + I)



Now click at the top: IMAGE/ADJUSTMENTS/DESATURATE (or cntrl + SHIFT + U)

These instructions are for Photoshop CS. In Elements 3.0 to make bw, at the top its under: ENHANCE/ADJUST COLOR/REMOVE COLOR
