saving LAYOUTS for web

When I go to save a digi layout to post on the web, I've noticed the quality gets a little "fuzzy". I don't notice it in my photos as much in the text/fonts? Is there any way around this?

Here is an example of what I'm talkin' bout... Legacy
See how the text/fonts get all wonky? Everything else seems to be alright.

Hi Carrie

What software are you using?

My first thought looking at that example is that you don't have anti-aliase switched on when doing the fonts. Anti-alias prevents fonts from having those little "jaggies". It also looks like the image was re-sized disproportionately. Without knowing what software you use, I can only guess at what's going wrong.

Hope someone else can help!

btw - it's a beautiful layout and doesn't look like a beginner's work. Once you've cracked the web size problem, you are going to be flying as a digi scrapper.

I use Photoshop. If you are using Photoshop, I can walk you through saving for the web. Otherwise I'm sure there are many here who use other software that will be able to help

K, I found info in the help menu about anti-alias but only when applied to "objects" not text? Is this something I can apply after my layout is finished or will I have to re-do my text?
hmmm, I understand what it is now, but how do I use it! LOL (I'm laughing at myself over here)

I'm really sorry, Carrie - I don't have that software so wouldn't know how to fix it. The only thing I can suggest is "trial and error". I've learnt so much over the years by just playing and playing and fiddling around with my software. It's time consuming but worth it in the end as you really do learn a lot.

Best Wishes!

this might help

http://www.microsoft.com/products/im...ionguides.aspx user guides to Picture It. Not sure which version you have. Premium did mention antialiasing "sections" in the manual. I would definitely search the pdf of the version you have.
