technically, text is an object -- all you can do is try it.

you shouldn't have to retype it, you can adjust aliasing in other programs on a whim

THANKS GALS! I have been playing around a bit trying to fix the problem. I can't seem to find my user manual (figures) but, I will check out the link you posted, 4guysandme.

Some general suggestions -- if your software supports layers then resize for the web before merging layers rather than afterwards. And look into the JPEG quality you're using -- often text is the first thing to be hit by using a high compression ratio. In this case, though, you only just sneaked in under the 125 KB limit, so there wouldn't be much you could do with that.
