I save all my avatars as 125 x 125 pixels JPEGs and they just show up at the big size. Also make sure that the file size is less than 19 K. What size is the JPEG you're trying to use as an avatar?

I have photoshop 7.. I used the image size and changed the resoulation to 75 and then type in 125 for the pixels. that was still to big so i made it smaller..
I uploaded it to photobucket and it says it is less than 19 k but it still wont work for me.. They are tiny.. I have been putzing with it for hours now and I am pulling my hair out!

EDIT to add - thanks for responding so quickly!

Does PS have the Save for Web feature? I use PSE and can't remember if that one is available in PS.

Also have you tried different compression amounts on your JPEG? That should help with file size. Thinking about this all I can't really figure out why your avatar is showing up so small if you set the overal sizes to 125 pixels.
