Could you help me find a tutorial on how to work with the .png files? I use Photoshop and when I open one that should have transparent parts to it the transparent parts are colored in so I don't know how to get just one and preserve the transparent parts

Welcome to SBB!

You should be able to just drag the element onto your LO with the move tool

if there is more than one element in the file, then you have to select it first with the marquee or lasso tool- then switch back to the move tool and drag it over to your LO

does that work- or do you have an older version of PS?

What if you have an ancient version, like Adobe Photo Deluxe 3.0 ? How do you make an element transparent to lay over another page or photo. I have a lace photo corner that is a png and I would like to use it on the corner of a photo. Please Help!!
