Anyone know what to do with Ultrasound film?

Does anyone else get radiological film with pictures of their baby on it when you have an ultrasound? If so, have you figured out any way to turn this into something you can scrap?

All three of my childrens ultrasound pictures are on film and I don't know what to do with it.

Any advice, tips etc. would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have any examples of layouts since I haven't done a layout with mine yet. But they scan really well. Can you scan them and then do a pregnancy layout with them? I used the scanned images as pictures on grandma/grandpa birthday cards.

No matter how I try to scan them there is a big blue mark right through the baby's head. I've tried vertical, horizontal, moving it to the middle etc. Nothing seems to work. Maybe it is my scanner, I don't know???

Lightbulb Radiology film

I don't know where your blue marking is but maybe you can use the clone stamp to get rid of the blue.... if you have Photoshop that is.

I guess if you really want to scrapbook these films you might have to go to a semi traditional route... you can do the main partson the computer... like the layout and such, leave an area for the film and using vellum tape to tape the film to your digital design.

I had trouble scanning mine as well. So instead taped them up to a window during the day when light was coming in, and used my digital camera to take a picture of each frame. I had to do some post correcting by cropping and rotating to get the image I wanted, but was very happy with the end result. Hope this helps! I have done a layout with mine, and will try and post to the galllery for you. Not the best, but may give you some ideas.
