How do you make rounded corners

Hello everyone,

I am using Micro soft Picture it 9 as well as PSP 7. I edit my pictures in PSP and do the layout in Pic it .
I have noticed several layout with soft rounded corners. How is that done? I tried and I can't figure it out.

Thanks so much.

I'm not sure about Picture It or PSP 7, but in PSP 8 and 9 you use the Selection Tool. Under Selection Type in the Options Bar, choose Rounded Rectangle. Select the portion of the photo to keep, then Selection>invert and hit Delete. If you want fuzzy rounded edges, do Selection>Modify>Feather, then invert and Delete.

hth! Let me know if PSP 7 has a rounded rectangle selection.

LOL! Right, Tracey I can never get it where I want it the first time around, always have to move it. In PSP 7 you might have to choose the Move Tool and right click to move the selection, in PSP 9 you can just right click with the Selection Tool

but don't quote me, those kinds of details are hard to remember!

Trace DSP MIA again!

Here's what I did....

Okay I just tried this out in DIP10. You insert a shape into your layout. Insert the rounded corner square. Then you have to go to the Effects Menu and choose Fill with Texture or Color. There will be an option there to choose fill with a picture. You just then choose which picture you want in the space and move it around until it is where you want it. Hope this makes sense and it is what you need.
Have a nice day!
Nancy
