Exclamation Another Gallery or Image that needs support/comments please...

Hi Everyone!
There was another thread circulating around here with this same principle....sometimes it is hard to find....

Here is the idea...sometimes there are Galleries or Layouts that really get overlooked . If you know one list it here and we can help others get more comments . More comments mean more encouragement... means more happiness... means more people loving scrapbooking!!! Which means more people loving SBB!! I know personally that it is all the encouraging comments I get from SBB'ers that keeps up my excitment and keeps me coming back for more!

Ok, here is one Gallery that needs some attention... TFS-the luv!!!

Comments/Feedback

I try (although sometimes it's hard) to leav'e feedback for people every day. It's an important part of what we do here...so we should all try to make sure to leave some each day. My goal is to comment on 10 layouts each day. Sometimes I'm too tired...but I remind myself that I'm going to help make somebody's day a little bit better.

New Poster

Hi, this is my very first post here, although I've been coming to the site for over six months. I was actually doing digital scrapbooking way back in 1997, but got sidetracked for a few years by life. I go through the gallery every day (I've even gone through all the back layouts). There are so many wonderful layouts. I've seen this kind of thread before, encouraging people to comment on them. But as for me, I always ask myself why anyone of these talented people would care for comments from someone like me, who hasn't made a lot of layouts and has never posted one. Anyone care to explain?

Thumbs up

I agree with the fact that we sometimes need encouragement. The gallery is a great place to see so many talented people who do so many creative things. I just clicked on the link you had in the first post here, and found amazing layouts. She is very talented and I enjoyed looking at all of them.

Talking

Jeanne CF,

Hi, and welcome, glad you decided to post after hanging around!

There are no requirements to have posted/created any layouts etc. Your comments are just as valuable as any other persons. There are other people like you who don't post their layouts (by choice) but comment and participate in the forums.

If you like a layout leave a comment on what you like about it - e.g. photo, way an element is placed, kit used ...

Maybe at some time in the future you will get back to digi scrapping!

Jules

Next.....
Hi Jeanne,
Welcome to SBB... even though you've really been around while (longer than me) LOL.

I really have to say that experience gives the best explanation... once you have posted one layout and you start getting a few comments from others who really liked something about your layout... it just feels good! It doesn't really matter if they've ever scrapbooked before or not. Sometimes my family sends me e-mails with their compliments on my layouts, and I feel excited to do more layouts.

Maybe you could post one of your layouts that you did a long time ago... post a link in this thread if you get it out so we can all take a look and send you our comments...you may just find it very addicting LOL

Sheryl your absolutly right about some galleries being overlooked!! I'm very, very addicted to the gallery. When I 1st started I lurked here for awhile, then got up the nerve to post my 1st lo. Those comments sooo made my fragil self esteem better! Course it was about 6mths before I posted another lo! Seeing all the incredible work made me want to wait, practice, do tuts and try to get better, I know now I shouldn't have waited sooo long to get lo's up though, after all scrapping is all about capturing moments in time for our future~not how "good" or "bad" you think your page is!!
I comment ALOT! Too much actually! I always think,"Oh I'll just have a peek in the gallery, then start my lo.". Famous last words!!! I can't get out of it some days! I didn't comment as much until the 1st thread on commenting was posted. I started with that one and then just couldn't stop! Someone on that thread said and I agree that there is usually something beautiful and worthy of commenting on in every lo! If you take the time to click on it and take a closer look, leaving a comment is a nice thing to do and dosen't take much more time.
Also to Jeanne, you don't have to post any lo's to comment! Comments from anyone, whether or not they scrap at all, are always welcomed! Sometimes the people that others think are soo very talented are actually unsure and don't see their own work the way others see it~comments really, really help to keep motivated! The people here have been very kind to me comment wise, probably more than I deserve, but I really appreciate it and it's given me the encouragement I needed to keep learning, and to start submitting to publications and such.
OK. Enough talking for me! Off to find a beautiful and overlooked gallery

This thread is really interesting to me as I've been having issues with this very subject. I'll admit, it's very disheartening to work so hard on something and feel it's good and creative (I've even written little poems for some of them) and then get like two comments. It makes me feel like a big ol' whiney baby to even feel that way as I know what I'm doing is scrapbooking my memories for future generations, not ekking out self esteem by getting pats on the head, but still!

I find myself looking for lay outs that I like that haven't gotten alot of feedback and feeling good about the encouragement that I can provide someone. Maybe there really is such a thing as karma.
