Just use your eraser tool to "erase" the part through the charm. I think Maya just made a rope for the elements section.

Maybe there is a brush you could download from somewhere. I'm just starting to use PS, so I don't know if that's possible.

There are different ways to tackle this

the rope that I just made I did the hard way. I used a fuzzy preset brush to draw the base of the rope at the thickness I wanted and then I used a lighter shade colour and a smaller brush to go over that original line with diagonal lines to give it that twisted look. It is long and tedious that way but it was my first crack at it and I was determined to finish once I started. I am not entirely pleased with the way it turned out but it isn't bad. It will be seen in the new elements section soon.

I am also going to attempt to make a rope brush by scanning a small piece of twisted white rope (just have to find some first). I haven't looked to see if there are any pre-made PS7 brushes out there on the web for this but it should be pretty easy to make. Not sure how effective it will be yet, but I will let you know after I test drive it.

My oh My

I thank you for the incredibly flattering compliment. It touches me very deeply and it really makes my day to know that I have played some small part in turning someone on to the joy of scrapbooking. There is sooooo much inspiration and talent on this site and most of us could probably barely ever imagine how our work affects others. I am certainly the lucky one today that you made a point of sharing. THANK YOU!!

Hi Maya-

I had never seen your website, and I must admit your work is INSPIRING. Hopefully I'll get to a tenth of your level someday. You should be very proud of your work and talents. Thanks for sharing what you do with all of us.
