Another vote here for Pinnacle Studio 9! I just did a "video diary" for our school with this software and I didn't even use any video....just still shots from throughout the year. I used my various digital scrapbooking kits/elements and Photoshop to create 640 x480 "layout slides" and I'm thrilled with how it looks. The cool thing about using Pinnacle for this project was that it allows you to "rip" music tracks from CDs (or insert .mp3s that you already own) and add them right to the project. When I got it all finished I burned it to a DVD which can be played on a television with a setop DVD player. Fun way to use LOTS of photos for viewing without creating an album!

I really would love to be able to do this! But I am so technically challenged it hurts. I did try going through Shelley's list and did try downloading DVD Photo Slideshow trial version. My first attempt did not work at all. When put in the DVD the image keeps sliding up and down the screen (looks the same as with old VCRs when the tracking got out of whack). I looked into my DVD manual (oh, I HATE that) and it did mention that it can play CD Jpegs so I am thinking that I might just try to burn a few jpegs on disc and see if I do any better like one of the posters here mentioned. I am just wondering how many new coasters I am going to have before I can make this work!

While recovering from surgery last week, I was dreaming of creating roll over images for hidden journaling etc like you see in paper scrapping. So, I was considering making some digital only pages.

I do both.

All of my layouts go onto DVD. I should probably get a program that I can rip music to - just to add a little oomph to my layouts.

I also print all of my layouts and put them in a traditional album. I have family that isn't real hip on technology - like even having a computer, let alone a DVD player...lol! The albums are great for toting along to share with them.
