Journaling, Poetry Etc

Does anyone typically use a web site to come up with some journaling ideas or is everyone pretty much coming up with things on their own? I've gone through the gallery and seen some fantastic quotes and poetry pieces (some have had authors posted on the LOs)...where do you find all that good stuff or is it a quoteyou already know and build a LO around it?

TIA!

Shari

There are lots of great quotes and poetry sites

but I am not on my computer so I don't have access to my bookmarks.

However, this is often what I do.

First off, I use www.google.com to search. It is my favorite search engine.

Say I am searching for a quote on motherhood.

I will put the words............ quotes and motherhood into the search engine

depending on the layout I am working on I might put in any variety or combo of words

quotes encouragement
quotes courage
quotes friends
quotes graduation

and you will often find many sites to bookmark in a search like this.

you might even try searching

scrapbook quotes
or
scrapbook poetry

and if at any time you are looking for something special, you can always come here and post a request for some of our favorites on a given topic.

I tend to write my own about half of the time and find quotes the other half but I am working on writing my own more often.

Shari, I use a lot of my own quotes. I usually note in the page description if it is mine or not, and I sign my stuff tlc (my initals).

I do like to use famous people's quotes too.

I love to look up Emerson, Pic***o, Whitman, etc...

I just plug Emerson quotes, etc into google and go from there.

I also find a lot of good stuff in the mentioned PeaSoup too.

Hope that helps!
