Just started doing some digital layouts.What Im wondering is what do you print out on.
Photo paper,cardstock or is there a special paper that works well. I am planning to do most as 12x12 but will try some smaller too.Thanks very much for any answers.

I use matte finish photo paper myself, usually what I can find on sale at my local Sam's Club.

Photo paper will give you better results than card stock, at least in my opinion.
