I'm so glad your taking a look into going digital. I must say it is fun and addicting at the same time. With digital photography so popular it's understandable that the digital world is blooming itself. I find digi-scrapping to be very helpful. You get to download the pictures for instant viewing and create a layout that same day. There's so many kits out there to help you get started. There are even kits that are already pre made for those days you don't feel as creative! I have to admit.. I am still hooked on the traditional paper scrapping. I love bazzill cardstock and the latest printed papers! I love a few embelishments as well. I have found a way to really do both. When I'm working on an album I will add a few digital and a few paper layouts to satisfy both my desires. But I have to admit, when you go all digital, espicially with a camera, doing a digital layout is so much easier and not so time consuming.. Not to mention, not so messy! And with 3 demanding kids, soccer games, dinner, laundry... Some days I don't have the time to bring out all my "paper products" I simply go on the computer and finish a layout. I've printed my layouts on 8 1/2 by 11 so I can mount them on my 12 x12 albums with room to adhere them to bazzill cardstock or some me and my big ideas woven labels! I have a pretty decent epson printer the epson stylus photo r300. But I have also found a really good website, that I LOVE and have already printed out 20 layouts at once! whcc.com They are really great and professional.. Espicially for those layouts where they could be hung on the wall.
Well I have chatted far to much, you could have done a few layouts instead! But I hope you enjoy the learning process and find your niche as well. This is a great site to meet new people and make new friends.
Take CAre and hope to see your layouts!
