how do I...

I am trying to make a kit for a friend..I have the paper and the mat made, but when I try it out and put the mat on the background the background pattern shows thru. I have tried saving as a jpeg but it still doesn't seem to want to work rigiht
I am at a loss as to how to save.
Any help would be appreciated

Check the opacity of your mat. It sounds like you have it not set at 100 percent. I don't know what program your using to tell you how but if you need more help post what program you are using and someone can help you more.

I am using PSP 8.1
My opacity is set to 100%
I know that this is just something little that I'm too dense to figure out.

I figured it out!
The problem wasn't with my mat but witih my background,, I forgot to merge the layers before I saved it
