nope, can't convert. 100 page pdf book. i want to have elements on one page and have people be able to extract them. they can copy images, but the white background remains and it's only 72 dpi. i want cgers to be able to use them directly from that file if possible. photoshop users can as they can open it in photoshop, choosing that page, then they have a 300 dpi image with a transparent background. then they can copy and paste the elements. i was just hoping other programs could open a pdf also so i don't have to share a png file besides the pdf book. make sense??

Margie, you can open a pdf in PSP 8, I just did it about 10 minutes ago. A dialog box will open up, just click ok. Another box will open after that telling you how many pages the file is and that it could take a few minutes. Click ok again. It'll open each page as a seperate image, with a transparent bg. Just merge each image to flat and you can read to your hearts content.

awesome! okay, so if you don't flatten, you have no background and could use the elements then? will it let you choose to only open page 89?? ps does. i'd hate to have to open 88 other images so i could get to #89! any idea??
