The control box for my shape tool (image shape and line width) has disappeared. I'm left with the square tool button and , when pushed, a filled rectangle image when pushed. Can you tell me how to get the control box again? I've gone to the file-preferences, but I don't see anything that addresses my problem.
I'm using PSP version 5.

You could try: View > Toolbars > Tools (*should* work!)

or maybe: File > Preferences > Reset Preferences.
But that resets pretty much everything.

I honestly don't remember all what PSP5 has for settings anymore, but can you add back those missing icons into that toolbar if you use your customize toolbars? I don't even know where that is located in 5. I would guess in the view or file menu.
