Resizing issue

For some reason, today, when I tried to reduce a jpg image from 1013 x 823 to 700 x 569 the result was the edges of the object were a bit coarse. Usually it turns a bit soft to which I just sharpen it up. Yesterday I had no problem with this.

This happened once before and for the life of me I cannot figure out how I got it back to normal. Maybe someone can shed some light on this.

Thanks,
Nylo

hhmm unless you changed a setting somewhere while saving.
Have you ran a script recently, sometimes this will play with your settings and leaves them in the "Last Used" dialog position.
I don't get it that you have 3 sets of measurements for your first size image....? A .jpg doesn't have 3 sets of measurements....

If you want to start at default open the drop down menu from the top and choose default this should reset the "Smart Resize" and all the check boxes to their default state.

That didn't help. I'm completely confused about this. Might have to reinstall PSP 9.01

No, you are right. Its just in, "File, Preferences, Reset Preferences."

At first I selected "Reset Preferences" and no resolve. Then I selected, "Reset Configuration and that did it so I'm back to normal.

Thanks,
Nylo
