Limitations?

I've been playing around with my PSP. I think i have a fairly decent hang of things. So, I'm ready to start buying kits, etc...
So, tell me what should I not buy that's not compatible with PSP?

I see actions for CS2/3 I assume they are not compatible w/ my software. Anything else I need to know?

TIA,
Chic

You're right: anything that specifically mentions PSCS, or PS Elements you will not be able to use, although you can open psd files (the native PS format) in PSP 9.

Rule of thumb is to stay away from anything software specific. Most kits are compiled of jpg and png files and you will have no problem using those. Hayley64/Tracey Rennemo here has some great PSP scripts, our version of PS Actions, and you will be able to use those, depending upon your version of PSP as some are version specific. Also do not buy brushes that are abr format only: PSP cannot read those. You can buy brushes where there are also png versions, and they can be resized if necessary.

Have fun trying out some kits!

First which version of PSP are you using? This could affect some of the files if you have an older verison.

All of the kits for digital scrapbooking work in PSP because they are all .png, .jpg and/or .psd files.

Actions and style layers are for Adobe PS and no they will not work in PSP.
PSP has scripts, tubes and such. Just make sure you read the product desciptions and if it is a certain program type product take note of which program it works with and which versions it works with.

I have a number of PSP products (tubes, brushes and scripts) in my store here at PSP that work in 9 and X. Link to my store is in my blinkie!

Let us know if you have any other product questions about whether you can use them or not in PSP.
