Opinions on PSPX2

I just picked up the trial version of PSPX2 and just wondered who of you are currently using it and if it is worth switching to. I am currently using PSPX which I love, so I am hesitant to change.

Hi Joyce, I have X2 but don't use it very much at all and not once yet for scrapping or designing.

The huge plus's would be brush sizes and layer styles (they are located when you right click on a layer and choose properties).
However that darn global light ball in the dropshadow area really doesn't work that well.

One of the reasons I personally would stay away from it is how Corel renamed all the brushes, tubes, texture and patterns with a naming convention that is just silly!

I am sure that once I get over these things, I might go forward in the future. But for right now I also am happy with X!

I jumped from 9 to XI, which I really only bought for testing scripts so they would be compatible, I never used it for actually working in.

I got X2 a few months ago and have been using it exclusively since. There are a couple of irritations: drag and drop doesn't work, it only opens a new image rather than a new layer in an open image. I miss that feature. Layer Styles are quite good although the control is a bit hit and miss as there are no boxes to add numbers, it's all sliders and even a ball for the drop shadow! But for all that, they are quite good. However, I also discovered that an image with a layer style will not print that layer style unless it has been merged into another layer, or flattened as jpg.

I was a diehard PSP 9 user and never thought I'd change, but I do like X2 and I'm comfortable in it.

I got X2 a few weeks ago and I have made 1/2 a layout with it, that's it. I'm back to using my X. The lack of drag and drop that Jane mentioned sealed the deal for me.

Thank you girls for your opinions. In spite of loving my PSPX I thought since I had the trial for 30 days that I should give it an all out effort and I have to say that the more I use it the more I like it and at this point I do not think I will go back. Having said that PSPX will definitely stay on the computer (my security blanket lol)

I too tried the trial download and really liked it. I liked it so much that I bought PSPX2 and use it exclusively. Like the others, I do miss the drag and drop but after using a few weeks, I don't miss it any longer. The new features make up for it...
