Raster Deform Tool to size

I have used the raster deform tool to resize my photos... by right clicking on the corners and pulling in...but is there anything you can do to pull in those photos by the sides without disorting picture. I have had some that even after cropping I can't get the photo "skinny" enough for what I am looking for... just curious if that was something that could be done. I right clicked on the side of photo but it distorted it.

Hi, no not the way you are explaining it. I use this analogy, think of these photo almost like a image on silly putty.

If you stretch in width wise or shove it in width, you are asking PSP to smoosh or stretch the pixels information.

To acheive a photo size that you need to 1) to fit into a digi frame a) try cropping the photo to the most correct size you need first b) use the raster deform tool to stretch the frame instead. (As frames carry less image information (on average) then a photo image does, this is the safest way to go)
2) crop your photo, preserving the most important area.
3) start with a large enough photo so you have room to crop.

Can you post us an example of your photo?

It's been a while since I used PSP9 and the raster deform tool, but I think you preserve the ratio by using the right button on your mouse. Not sure, but you can give it a try!
