How can i adjust the opacity on text?

just type your text, then making sure that the vector layer is highlighted in the layers pallette, there is a little slide thingie a bob that starts at 100%, just slide it down until you get the desired opacity. You can also try different settings under the blend mode tab to get some cool effects
