My daycare lady has PSP (I have photoshop) and she wants to fade or change the background on one of her pictures - is there a way to do this? I think she used a white sheet for her background when she took the photo and is not happy with it - I suggested erasing the background, which she can do, but she had thought there was another way

If she has used a solid white sheet as a background, the background eraser should do a good job of getting rid of most of the background. It might be necessary to use the regular eraser to clean it up near the edges. Then she can replace it with a different color on a layer below the photo.

She could also use the selection tools or a mask, but if the background is a solid color, the background eraser is the way to go IMO.
