Newbie trying to figure this out!

Hi everyone! I am an old newbie, I havent been doing this in sometime and just started back into it. Now for my question. I cant for the life of me remember how to do this: I am using PSPX

I am trying to insert a photo "under" a pre-made page. I open the pre-made page, then I opened the picture I want to insert, and after that, I am lost. LOL! I can't paste it as a new selection, it covers some of the page, KWIM?
I am sorry I can't exlpain it better. I know it's a simple step, but I am at a loss.

TIA!!!

Hello,

When you open your pre-made page in PSP it will be a "Background" layer which you will see stated in the layers palette. you need to right click and promote to raster layer (which means basically that you can move it in the layers order, which you will need to have to place it "UNTOP" of the layers stack with your photo being on a new raster layer below the pre-made page layer.
Layers are just like stacks of papers, you see the most of the one that is on top of the pile and less of the layers that are farther down the pile....hth's
let us know how it goes!!
