I have PSP X. A week or so ago I was able to use the geographic elements to form a picture into a circle and have the rest of the background transparent. I just tried doing that again, but the transparent button is no longer available! I can wrap, repeat, and add color, but I can't make the background disappear. Anyone have any ideas?

you have to make sure you promote the background. Click on the photo in the layer palette.
Then right click and it will give you some options~ One of them should be promote background layer.
