opening files in browser

Help Please.

Have just gone onto Windows XP pro.

When using browser in PSP8, clicking on a file to open, it will not open. It used to open OK.

Can open in another progamme I have.

Think it must be a setting in PSP preferences somewhere.

Can someone advise me ( in simple language please!!)
