Red face Brush Basic

I just started downloading some different brushes last week. I'm sure this has a super simple answer, but I can't seem to figure it out. How do you keep the brush from spinning with each application? I was using one the other night and it was hit or miss. I had to keep clicking & deleting until it finally lined up where I wanted it. I'm using PSP 9 & X.

It sounds like the brush you downloaded had a special brush variance with it. If you want to change the variance for the brush you are using, go to the Brush Variance palette. (View > Palettes > Brush Variance) Clicking the arrow in the lower right-hand corner will put everything back to normal.

Another oddity that PSPX has is when they shipped it, the default for one of the setting in the brush varience window has them all set to pressure!! I went through and set all the default brushes to normal so now I don't know which setting it was. But if you dont work with a digital tablet and pen, you can turn this to normal. There was a time when this created a problem for some people but now I don't remember what it was they were experiencing...sorry.
