PSP X Clone Brush

When installing the PSP upgrade, the clone brush stopped working. Anyone with the same problem and a solution to it?

We have already tried to reinstall.

Are you sure you are working/cloning from the right layer, the most common mistake, and all the settings, check your opacity and/or use all layers depending on what you are doing? I am assuming you know how to use PSP right? And that you've used the clone brush before... The clone brush should not just stop working. What are you doing and how are you trying to do it?
Give us a little more detail on the steps you have tried and how many layers ect.
Thanks

Tracey is right about possibly trying to work on the wrong layer and therefore the Clone Tool is not working for you...if that's not the case it could just be a bug or possibly a corrupt file after installation....I had an experience yesterday with the Pick Tool that I am not sure if it was a fluke or a bug in the system.

Let us know what you find, there are plenty of people here who will help you.

Thank you very much for responding. I have been working on only one layer, fixing old black and white photographs. I have used PSP 8 and PSP 9 previously, and I have had no problems with the clone brush in these versions (PSP 9 is still working properly).

Corel customer service suggested that we repaired or reinstalled. I have tried both, and it did not solve the problem.

What I experience is that after having "right-clicked" and moved the cursor to the area where I want the cloning to take place, when I "left-click" and move the cursor, nothing happens, irrespective of opacity settings.

Sincerely GIT

It still almost seems like a setting.
Here is what mine are set to and they work.
Size: whatever
Hardness: 100
Step: 1
Density: 100
Thickness: 100
Rotation: 0
Blend mode: Normal
Stroke: Continuous
Aligned Mode Checked

Another thing to look into is your Brush Variance settings, click the little black arrow to the far right corner to reset to default settings, unless you have a tablet change any setting you see set to *Pressure to Normal.
Hopefully something here helps you.

Try Tacey's suggestions...and this may be totally bizarre but, have you tried using the Clone Tool on any other image other than the one you are currently working on? Just try it on any thing else....I am curious about this...............
