Hi! I'm extremely new to digital scrapbooking and have a stupid question. I've been downloading all the beautiful kits everyone is making, but when I open them up in psp, everything has a black background. I've noticed that they are in .png format. Can these not be used in psp? and if they can, how do you remove the black background so they are on a transparent background. I've been using my magic wand but on some things it seems to take forever to get all the black out.

I'd appreciate any help before all my hair has been pulled out!

png's can be used in PSP..
check your program prefferences and make sure that you have png's associated with the program..
sorry I am not much more help but I am not in front of my program right now.. I will look deeper when I get to my home PC for you if no one else has helped more..

This is what Cheetah was going for. ;o)
File>Preferences>File Format Preferences
Click the PNG tab and click the little round button to select
Load and save transparency to / from layer transparency
Then all the .png's should have their transparent background...!
